OSELLA PA8 Chassis 101

OSELLA PA8 Chassis 101

This Osella PA8 race car was built in July 1980. Chassis 101 is initially purchased by the Warsteiner Team and campaigned with Albrecht Krebs at the wheel during the 1981 season of the Interserie championship.
It was acquired and refurbished by Di Fulvio Racing of Pescara, Italy— in the late 2010s. Work included a repaint in gold and overhauls of the 2.0-liter BMW M12 inline-four, Hewland five-speed manual transaxle, AP Lockheed four-wheel disc brakes, and coilover suspension. It now rides on 13″ multi-piece wheels and is further equipped with a roll bar, NACA ducts, and a rear wing. Inside, a single fixed seat is accompanied by a Sparco multi-point harness, a MOMO steering wheel, and a fire suppression system.
Following completion of the project, the car has participated in two hillclimb events.
This Osella PA8 was later offered for sale having an Osella Certificato d’Origine, and a FIA Historic Technical Passport.

Osella Squadra Corse

Osella Squadra Corse was founded in 1965 by former rally driver Enzo Osella, and the team initially campaigned Abarth sports cars in Italian racing events. The manufacturer took over the Abarth program in the mid-1970s and subsequently expanded into single-seater racing. After fielding cars with little success in the Formula Two and Three Championships, Osella entered Formula One, where it partnered with Alfa Romeo and later Cosworth before being sold and renamed Fondmetal in 1990. During this time, the manufacturer continued to build sports cars for use in various European Championship, hill climb, and club racing events.
